Eat, drink and be married!

The thing about married life is, somehow, somewhere, sometime down the road, the things we all used to do to "while away time" becomes a luxury. I hate to admit how much a movie junkie I used to be because there was not much to do and me being the non-outdoorsy person could only rely on that to spend time with the other half.

Since the wedding, we've only caught 2 movies - Transfomers and The fault in our stars. Two very extreme genres of movies. I urge you to catch the latter while you can. A girl's movie for sure and definitely one meant for the couples.

It's strange how now and then we need such stark reminders on the existence of true love.

Some of my favourite movie quotes and snippets.

“Oh, I wouldn't mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.”

“I'll fight it. I'll fight it for you. Don't you worry about me, Hazel Grace. I'm okay. I'll find a way to hang around and annoy you for a long time.”

“You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful.”

Sex and the city may have ended its glorious television run and then cinema runs quite a while go but one thing that remained deeply etched in my mind - "I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet.", the infamous quote by Carrie Bradshaw, one of my favourite characters of all time. That is how the whole concept of walk-in wardrobe came into vogue.

My mom can testify to the amount of money that has rolled out of my piggy bank to the frivolous wants and needs of a fashionista wannabe, aka me. Of all the beautiful things that I term candy - arm candy, wrist candy, foot candy even, I shall feature a couple of my favourites that hang somewhere in the closet.

Semi precious gem stone earrings from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

As I speak to death about how far ago the honeymoon was, I am almost done with it with this second parter.

Istanbul is pretty, by day and by night. One just needs lots of patience and time to go through the city that hardly ever sleeps. Personally, Greece is very similar to Turkey, and in more ways than one, I find the former more polished despite the country being in shambles and the latter is actually flourishing despite the chaos the country seems to be.

We paid more attention to Turkey, hoping it would be more colourful and more exciting than Greece would be and added so many cities to the trip - Istanbul, Capadoccia, Ephesus and Pamukkale. A number of regrets and wish I had time for but, always take time to soak in the city's atmosphere and try to live like a local.

Once again, presenting the last part to our honeymoon in pictures.

Finally, I have time to put this together, a post so overdue, I can go on another honeymoon in the absence of this post.

We kickstarted our honeymoon in Athens and then moved onto Santorini. Let's just say, we planned the whole honeymoon around Santorini. :P

Coincidentally or not, we celebrated our anniversary in Santorini. The first year in Singapore, second in Santorini, and the third? The island is too beautiful for just 3 days, I wish we had a forth as did the husband.

Chill we did with the complimentary amenities from Rocabella Suites. First it was a bottle of white wine, chocolates, fig bars, chocolate wafers and on our last night, moscato. Bless these people who know how to make a honeymoon complete. The staff were ever so joyous, it made it feel like the happiest place on earth.

On hindsight I should have dedicated more time to Greece in general. There was so much to see and experience, time is always never ever quite enough.

I'll let the pictures talk and convince you that Santorini should be in your bucket list of places to visit in this lifetime. Part 2 coming up!
